Both Google and Facebook have confirmed that they are (or have) removing content from their networks that has been deemed objectionable by the courts.

It is not clear what exactly has been removed from the networks. We imagine that this include blogs (or blog posts) on Blogger and Fan Pages (or individual accounts) on Facebook.
Remains to be seen if this is going to be enough. Indian government of course is seeking much more than this. They want online services accepting user generated content to pre-screen everything before it is published on the web!
