Google updates us about the changes to the new Gmail theme!

The company has now posted an update on the changes based on user feedback. Google also said that they are going to make the new layout default for all users in the coming weeks. So get ready for change!

Here are some of the recent updates:

Some of you commented that having two gears was confusing, and we agreed. The new Google bar removes one of the gears.

We’ve reduced the amount of time the “Send feedback” link appears to 4 days.

Some of you commented that you need higher contrast and more differentiation between work-spaces. As a result we created a contrast theme and we will be shipping that option soon.

Some of you said it was hard to read the toolbar on themes with patterns and images. We heard you! Now it should be easier.

We’re fixing “search the web” and it should appear for all languages soon.

The gear menu is now in the same place in both Contacts and Mail.
