Google Goggles on Android get performance enhancements and tons of new content!

There is more to this update. Google has just revealed that they have added tons more data that can be recognized with this app. Here is what the company said:

We’ve just updated Google Goggles, adding more than 30,000 high resolution images from 150+ museums around the world as part of +Art Project powered by Google. Now you can learn more about a painting just by pointing your phone at it with Google Goggles. Whether the original in the gallery or a print you found outside, Goggles will recognize it and help you share your discovery with your friends.

Google Goggles on Android get performance enhancements

Google has updated their Google Goggles mobile app for the Android platform.

The app gets a performance boost. Changelog:

In Continuous Mode, the recognized objects that you tap on are now saved to your Search History.
Barcode recognition in Continuous mode is now twice as fast.

The app works as a bar code reader and can also recognize objects in photos taken with the phone’s camera.
