Google Plus to get historical moments through Google+ History API

Google Plus to get historical moments through Google+ History API

VentureBeat has revealed that Google is working on a new API for their Google Plus platform.

Google+ History API would enable third party developers to add support for their platforms to Google Plus.

The idea is to let services like Foursquare and Twitter to allow users to import their data to Google Plus.

This data would then be imported on relevant dates on the user’s Google Plus stream in the form of moments.

This sounds pretty similar to Facebook Timeline but a whole lot more automated.

Remains to be seen if this API is adopted by popular third party social networks like Twitter and Foursquare.
