Few people expected Google to launch a browser few years ago. The company was supporting the Mozilla Firefox project and all was well.

But four years ago, Google launched Chrome which came as a shock to literally everyone. Lots of questions were raised… People wondered what was the need considering the market was already dominated by Internet Explorer and Firefox!

Google has pretty much proved everyone wrong. Chrome is the second most popular browser in the world today. Some stats claim, it is the most popular web browser if we look at individual versions.

Google Chrome today is available on multiple platforms… Windows, OS X, Linux, Android and even iOS. There is an independent operating system (Chrome OS) powered by it!
