Google launches Field Trip mobile app for automated discovery of local information!

Google Field Trip

Google has launched another interesting app focused on automated discovery of information. This new app should have been part of their Google Now platform.

In any case, Field Trip is designed to automatically show you relevant information about the things and places around you.

The app runs in the background monitoring your location. You do not have to interact with it. As soon as it senses that you are near a location that has some interesting facts or history, it would launch a card with the information.

The app also support Bluetooth or headset connected, it can read that information to you as well.

When you get close to something interesting, it pops up a card with details about the location. Field Trip can help you learn about everything from local history to the latest and best places to shop, eat, and have fun. You select the local feeds you like and the information pops up on your phone automatically, as you walk next to those places.
