Google launches their own Santa Tracker for this Christmas

NORAD is working with Microsoft this year which means that Google had to launch their own version of the Santa Tracker.

Google has launched a dedicated section on their website for this project. They call it the Google Santa Tracker.

Google spoke about this project:

While we’ve been tracking Santa since 2004 with Google Earth, this year a team of dedicated Google Maps engineers built a new route algorithm to chart Santa’s journey around the world on Christmas Eve. On his sleigh, arguably the fastest airborne vehicle in the world, Santa whips from city to city delivering presents to millions of homes. You’ll be able to follow him on Google Maps and Google Earth, and get his stats starting at 2:00 a.m. PST Christmas Eve at

They have also made available browser extension for Chrome and an app for Google Android devices. Plus you can follow updates on Twitter, Facebook and Google+ as well.

Google is also offering a service for you to get Santa to call a friend or a family member!
