Google Majel might take on Apple Siri

Online sources are indicating that Google developers are working round the clock to come up with a competing technology to take on Apple Siri which is part of the Apple iPhone 4S smartphone.

Siri has become a huge hit with people loving how it can help them do various tasks by just using natural voice commands.

Google Android supports voice commands but it is not a natural process and the capabilities are limited.

Reports say that Google plans to name their edition Majel after Majel Barrett-Roddenberry who was the voice behind Federation Computer from Star Trek.

Google also recently purchased the developers behind the popular mobile app Alfred. This acquisition is also said to be linked to their plans to provide a competing technology to Siri on the Android platform.
