Google has revealed that they have updated the search results for movies on their mobile edition for the webkit browsers on Android and Apple iOS.

The company said:

Now when you search for [movies] or your favorite theater like [century san francisco] on Google.com from your phone, you’ll see interactive results for movies in a new swipeable ribbon, with the most relevant information displayed at the top of the page.

Movie results would now show a poster of the movie in addition to a short summary, ratings, and details about nearby theaters and show timings.

User gets the ability to slide through the different movies and quickly check what movies are listed in theaters in their locality.

More details about the movie are available on clicking on them. Some regions would also have the option to online bookings of tickets.

Google has currently rolled out this update for the English language mobile search engine in the US market.
