Google recently rebranded their media and content services under Google Play.
For now, it is largely a rebranded Google Android Market though we hope to see it offer content for other platforms in the near future.
And Google has already started working promoting this platform by placing it in their navigation bar.
Google only highlights their most important services in this section. Some of the existing ones are: Search, Image Search, Maps, YouTube, News, Gmail, Docs and Calendar.
In fact, there was a hue and cry when Google removed Reader from this bar and hid it inside a dropdown menu.
We assume that most people would like Play featuring in this section considering it does not really offer much to people outside the US market (and who do not own an Android device right now).
