Google Play Books get places, dictionary, translation, highlights and notes features

Google has updated their Play Books mobile app for the Android devices.

There are tons of new features in the updated edition. You can now click on places names to get details about them on Google Maps and Wikipedia. Clicking on a word would let you see the meaning of the word.

You can also translate words or phrases into any of the languages supported by Google Translate.

Users also get the ability to highlight sections of the books or add notes to them.

You will also notice a new sepia reading theme (in addition to the current day and night themes), 2D sliding page turn animation, and lots of stability improvements. Finally, you can now read Japanese books in a vertical, right-to-left layout—and flip pages from right to left.
