Google Play Store has now seen 15 billion plus downloads

Google has confirmed that their Play Store has already crossed the 15 billion download milestone.

The service was recently renamed to Google Play Store from Google Android Market as they expand the content available through it.

Google Play Store is currently home to more than 500,000 apps though it still trails Apple App Store in this department.
