Google Play Store stops selling Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Google Play Store stops selling Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Google seems to have stopped selling the Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone through their Google Play Store.

This seems to be connected to the court order which barred Samsung from selling this phone in the US market.

Apple had filed an appeal in the court to ban the sale. They had claimed that Galaxy Nexus was infringing on their patents.

Samsung failed to get that ban order removed. Google is said to be close to releasing a software patch that should get around the patents owned by Apple.

Google could be updating the devices with the patched edition of Android to relaunch the device on Google Play Store at a later stage.
