Google releases YouTube mobile app on the Apple App Store

Apple is expected to announce their next generation iPhone tomorrow. This edition of the iPhone would not feature integrated Google Maps and YouTube apps from Google.

Google has released a standalone version of YouTube mobile app on the Apple App Store just in time.

It is available as an update on all existing iOS devices. Users upgrading to iOS 6 would have to download it to get it on their devices.

Features:

Tens of thousands more videos: This version adds support for videos with integrated ads. This enable access to tons of more content on the iOS devices.

New YouTube channel guide: A sidebar has been added to the app similar to the Android edition with quick access to all subscribed channels.

Find awesome videos faster: Search box is more powerful with auto-suggest. Google added:

Get to videos like “Gangnam Style” faster with new search tools that give suggestions while you type, and let you sort through videos or channels. Flip through related videos, comments and more info, all while watching a video.

Improved sharing: YouTube now lets you share the video you like through multiple channels like Google+, Twitter, Facebook, Email, Message and Clipboard.

YouTube for iOS is currently optimized for iPhones and iPod Touch devices. Google aims to launch an iPad optimized version in the near future.
