Google is borrowing a feature from Wolfram|Alpha engine. The company is now going to showcase rendering of mathematical functions on their search result pages.
This should make their users who are into mathematics happy. They would be able to search for a mathematic equation and Google would show a graphic rendering of it.
Wolfram of course does it already and much more.
Remains to be seen what else Google has planned for us in the future.
