CNet has reported that Google would support the YouTube app bundled with iOS devices for an indefinite period of time.
The company has already released an updated app which is now available to iOS 5 and iOS 6 devices.

Users on older iOS editions are stuck with the app that was bundled by Apple with the phone itself.
This version of the app does not have access to all the videos on YouTube. Especially the ones that are supported by online advertising.
