Google has added a bunch of new apps to their Google TV platform which would now provide access to international television programming.

The company highlighted the new apps and the regional programming offered by it:

PPTV: Asian movies and television dramas.

IslamBox: 40 channels from around the world with content focused on Islam.

Yupp TV: Content from India… Bollywood movies and daily soaps.

Raaga: Music content from 200 music labels in 20 languages.

Crunchyroll: Content from Japanese television like anime and dramas.

euronews: News from Europe.

Al Jazeera: Controversial but much in demand news programming from Al Jazeera.

Google added:

Our promise of making it easy to access more entertainment for your living room means we’re looking far and wide for content relevant for you, whatever that content may be, or wherever your living room is.

Google TV however still remains a US only platform. Google has not revealed when they plan to take it to the international markets.
