Google recently announced their Google Voice Search app for the Apple iOS platform.

This app behaved similar to Google Now on the Android Jelly Bean edition. Functionality wise, it is pretty close to Apple Siri as well.

The problem is that the app is still not available from the Apple App Store.

Apple does not like approving third party apps that compete with the native apps on their devices. Google Voice Search does exactly that and some folks would say it does a better job.

Apple of course would not comment on what is going on with the verification process. The company famously blocked the Google Voice mobile app on their iOS platform for a long time as well.
