Google’s market capitalization right now is around USD 249.1 billion compared to USD 247.2 for Microsoft.

Google has had massive success with their Android platform. Microsoft on the other hand is trying to make a comeback in the mobile market with their Windows Phone 8 platform.

Windows 8 is already being labeled as the most crucial launch for the company ever. It would launch later this month.

If the response to Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 is not as good as the company is expecting, we can see their market value go even further down.
