Honda has already revealed that Amaze would be their budget segment sedan in the Indian market. Amaze is based on their existing Brio model.

The company has now revealed that Amaze would also be their first diesel model in India. It would be powered with a 1.5 liter diesel engine.

The car has been designed to take advantage of the lower tax rates which are sadly based on dimensions of the vehicle.

It would of course also be available with a 1.2 liter petrol engine though we believe majority of consumers would wait for the diesel edition to go on sale.

It is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 5.4-8 lakhs for the different variants.
