Honda has announced the new name of their Indian automobile venture. The company recently acquired the stake of their joint partner Usha International in Honda Siel Cars India.

The entity would be renamed as Honda Cars India Limited and the company would have full ownership of it.

Honda said:

The name change will be with immediate effect as per the fresh Certificate of Incorporation issued by the Registrar of Companies, NCT of Delhi and Haryana.

The company added that they are fully committed to the Indian market and have major launches planned for the coming years. There were reports that the company could discontinue their Accord model and also not launch the next generation Civic to focus on budget segment cars.
