Carrier IQ on HTC EVO 3D on Sprint gone with a software update
Sprint and HTC have released a firmware update for the HTC EVO 3D smartphone which removes the Carrier IQ components.
The two companies did not say anything about this update which is being delivered to the owners of these devices.
Online sources have confirmed that the update remove all traces of Carrier IQ app which caused major privacy related controversies late last year.
HTC has already said that they are working with Sprint to release updates for all devices in the near future. Looks like they have started the process already.
