HTC Sense backup service getting discontinued
HTC has announced on their Sense website that they are discounting the backup services offered to owners of their smartphones.
The company said that the data would be removed at the end of next month. Users have until then to download their stored data on their servers.
HTC indicated that they are working on newer generation services that might offer similar capabilities in the future.
HTC has already collaborated with Dropbox which would allow them to offer 25GB of free online storage on their future devices.
Dropbox is a multi-platform service that works with tons of mobile platforms. It also has desktop apps for Windows, OS X and Linux.
