Hulu did well in 2011
Hulu has just blogged about how good 2011 was for them. The company now has more than 1.5 million paying customers.
Their business grew 60% from 2010 to approximately $420 million in revenue. Revenues in 2011 crossed 400 million dollars.
This is a good indication that people would pay for media consumption if it is offered in a good package.
Still media giants (including investors in Hulu) keeps on complaining about internet piracy.
Just make it easy for people all around the world to pay for your content and get access to it easily… And they would pay for the media.
Not everyone wants to be a pirate. A lot of people have no other way to get access to movies or television shows other than downloading it from the internet.
