IBM Docs could soon compete with Google Docs in cloud office suites market
IBM has revealed their own cloud based office productivity suite named IBM Docs.
The company is planning to target this new product segment amongst business users who are already subscribed to their products and services.
There is no desktop edition of IBM Docs right now. It is not clear whether IBM would offer a desktop edition at all.
IBM Docs would offer features similar to Google Docs like collaboration and sharing of documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
The company said: “We are socially enabling the document process. We did not want to build just an editor. We wanted to create a solution that tackled the problems that arise when teams work together and collaborate on documents.”
