iGoogle gets the new Google layout

Google has released their new layout for the iGoogle personalized homepage service.

iGoogle gets the new Google layout

It is currently available as an opt-in setting. It features the new design elements now used by tons of other Google services.

There are four buttons available. One is to manage the tabs on your personal iGoogle page.

Second button lets you add more gadgets to your pages. Sadly, the gadget pages are still in old design which gives the service a very cluttered and messy look.

Third button is to change the theme on the service. A couple of themes are available.

Last button is the usual settings button which is now a common feature on Google’s web services.

Google would have to do a lot of work before they can make this the default look for iGoogle. What we have today is a pretty messy mixture of old design and new design.
