Indian government has reportedly decided that IIT-Rajasthan would not be involved in the development process of future models of the Aakash Tablet PC.
Apparently the government was not happy with the way IIT-Rajasthan handled the first generation model.
The new updated committee reportedly includes members from IIT-Kanpur and IIT-Bombay.
A government source spoke on the condition of anonymity: “There are problems with both the manufacturer (Datawind) and IIT-Rajasthan. But we are disappointed with the way IIT (Rajasthan) handled everything. It was, after all, the main representative of the government in this project.”
