Imgur rolls out another update. Now has notifications and private messaging.

Imgur is becoming more like a social network than an image sharing platform.

The latest rollout is in fact aimed at keeping users on their platform longer with more social features.

Users can now reply to comments as the service now support threaded comments on gallery images.

Gallery images are now preloaded so browsing through them is faster and more efficient.

Users also get notifications to see replies to their comments on photos. They can also now communicate with other members of the service through a private messaging feature.

Imgur has also added an announcement feature to alert users about new developments on the platform.
