TRAI has revealed that the country now has around 929.37 million mobile connections.

The month of May saw addition of 8.35 million new connections in the Indian market.

The total user base of telephony services in India is now at around 960.9 million.

Airtel was the biggest gainer in May with addition of around 2 million new subscribers. Idea was second with 1.75 million new customers.

Uninor is expected to shut down their operations in the near future but they still gained around 1.52 million subscribers!

MTNL and BSNL were exceptions as they lost customers on their mobile networks.
