Instagram reiterated today that their official Android app is under development.

The company said that they now have two developers working on it and it should be ready for testing soon enough.

Instagram has become one of the most popular image sharing services on the mobile platform today.

And this they have achieved with support for just one platform… Apple iPhone.

Instagram Chief Executive Kevin Systrom spoke about the success: “The screen and the camera on the iPhone 4 really was a turning point. It was really disruptive. Somebody had to come along and take advantage of that disruption.”
