Instagram has updated their platform to support Facebook Albums.

You can now share your photos taken from inside Instagram to Facebook by sharing them in a special album.

The benefit is that a larger sized version is uploaded on Facebook which looks better than a thumbnail which used to appear earlier.

The shares also look much better on the Facebook Timeline feature which has replaced the user’s profile pages.

The company said:

The photos will appear full-sized in the News Feed along with the caption that you’ve added to the Instagram photo, and a link to the image’s public URL. This change will also display your Instagram photos beautifully in your timeline!
