Instapaper developers have released a new update for the users of Apple iOS devices.
The app now supports Background Update Locations. This functionality allows you to configure the app to download latest content automatically in the background in your home and office locations.
You can set the app to update the content when you enter or leave your office or home premises which has wireless internet connectivity. This would ensure that you have the latest content to read through while on the road without consuming mobile internet bandwidth.
The company spoke about this update:
iOS doesn’t yet permit apps like Instapaper to automatically download new content in the background on a regular schedule, but Background Update Locations can get most of the way there for a lot of people. Simply add up to 10 locations that you enter and leave often, and Instapaper will frequently update without manually launching it.
