Intel has announced that they are working on porting Google Android 4.1 to their Atom architecture.

Intel continues to struggle in the mobile market with just a few devices running their mobile processors available in the market.

Lenovo, Lava and Orange have launched one model each based on Intel processors running Android.

Motorola is expected to launch some devices based on Intel processors later this year.

But for now, Intel is far behind ARM when it comes to Android. And with Windows RT launching this year, the fight would become more intense as both Intel and ARM would be powering devices based on it.
