Internet Explorer 6 is pretty much dead in USA
Internet Explorer 6 now has a market share of less than 1 percent in the US market.
This means that web developers catering to the US market can now breathe easily.
IE6 has been one of the biggest headaches of web developers around the world because of its massive user base and lack of support for modern web standards.
Globally, however, the situation is still pretty bad. China for example still has 25% web users sticking with this version of the Internet Explorer browser.
India is doing pretty good with a low 5.4% market share.
