Jon Rubinstein has announced that he is leaving HP. He had joined HP when the personal computer industry giant acquired Palm.

We all know what happened to Palm. HP recently announced plans to open source webOS mobile platform after they simply failed to make it popular enough in the market.

Rubinstein has not revealed what he plans to do next. He is likely to take a couple of months off before moving on to his next venture.

Jon Rubinstein is of course one of core members of the team at Apple which came out with the iMac and the iPod. Things have not been good for him ever since he left Apple for Palm.
