LG Cloud launching next month in Beta
Google has launched their Google Drive. HTC is offering 25GB free storage through Dropbox. Samsung is expected to announce their S-Cloud initiative next month.
LG has gone ahead and announced their own cloud storage platform named LG Cloud.
The service launches on May 1 in beta. The company said that it would support their Android devices in addition to Smart TVs and personal computers.
Users would be able to upload their media content at a single place to stream it on compatible platforms.
LG Cloud would use their Real-time Streaming Transcoding technology for converting the media to optimum quality on the fly. This would prevent hassles with codec and device support for the end user.
LG said that the service would have a free component as well as a paid version.
