LG to focus on Android. Giving up on Windows Phone.

LG has announced that they are going to focus on Android mobile platform for future smartphone models.

The company said that Windows Phone has failed to generate enough numbers for them.

Samsung and HTC continue to roll out some Windows Phone devices while Nokia has adopted it completely.

Sony and Motorola are two other companies which are not selling Windows Phone devices. Motorola of course is in the process of getting acquired by Google.

LG has been struggling in the smartphone market. Samsung is dominating the Android world while Windows Phone has failed to generate enough sales to establish a dominating player.

With Microsoft totally behind Nokia in the WP segment, LG would do well by focusing on Android based super phones.
