LG has just announced their latest Android smartphone Optimus G. This is their latest flagship smartphone that would take on HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy S III and Apple iPhone 5.

The company said that they are sticking with their initial goal for the sales this year as they expect sales to pick up with the arrival of this new super phone model.

LG further said that they plan to stick with Android devices right now. They have no plans to launch a Windows Phone 8 based model in the near future.

LG has been struggling in the smartphone market with Apple and Samsung dominating the charts.
