LinkedIn has just announced a major update on their professional social platform.
The company has launched a brand new user profile design and it would be rolled out to everyone on their network in a phased manner.
LinkedIn has been working pretty hard on enhancing their web platform to boost interaction on their platform.
This has resulted in tremendous growth as more and more people are using LinkedIn over Facebook for professional networking.
The company spoke about the new design of the user profile:
Our new visual design helps you make a powerful first impression and showcase your skills and accomplishments. We’ve also provided tools such as inline editing, making it a snap to create a complete, up-to-date profile.
The new profile shows you rich and visual insights on the people and companies in your network. These insights also make it simpler to discover people outside your network and quickly establish common ground to make more meaningful connections.
We’ve also made it easier to see what your network is up to and to engage with them. Recent activity is now on the top of the profile, allowing you to stay current with what your network has been sharing and doing.
