Mahindra inherited the rights to use the Logan platform when they acquired this model from Renault.

The company now sells the car with Verito branding. We have already seen a couple of variants. The latest one was just launched recently.

Mahindra has now said that they do retain the rights to use the same platform for newer models. And if there is enough demand in the market they would consider developing a smaller car based on it.

Mahindra does not have a hatch in their product portfolio. They would need that if they want to compete against the market leaders in the country.

Mahindra of course is one of the largest seller of SUVs and MUVs in the Indian market.
