Maruti Suzuki India has launched the new generation Alto in the Indian market. The new model is named Alto 800 and it is available in petrol and CNG variants.

Pricing starts at Rs. 2.44 lakhs. The top end CNG edition is priced at Rs. 3.56 lakhs. Maruti has already received around 10,000 orders for this new car so we should start seeing it on the road in the coming days.

The company said:

Our engineering team has made many innovations to offer more space, improve drivability and safety to customers.

Maruti further claims that the car would deliver 15% better fuel efficiency compared to the older model. It remains powered with a 796cc engine capable of delivering 48ps of power at 69Nm torque.
