Microsoft has announced the launch of Office Store. This store would host apps that are aimed at the users of their Office productivity suite.

Microsoft is already accepting applications from interested developers. The company said:

Embracing web standards, the new cloud app model gives you maximum choice and flexibility to build a new class of apps for Office and SharePoint using familiar languages, tools, and hosting services.

Windows 8 of course is already going to include its own app store named Windows Store. It is good to see Microsoft offering another channel for developers to sell their apps.
