Microsoft has rolled out a major feature update on their SkyDrive platform.

Users can invite users who do not have active Microsoft account to view and edit their documents.

This is a pretty useful feature especially when your friends do not wish to create an account specifically for that simple task.

Microsoft further said that SkyDrive is now home to more than 1 billion documents uploaded by users around the world.

This number is going to increase massively as Office 2013 comes with deep integration with the SkyDrive platform.
