Microsoft on{X} is ifttt for your Google Android smartphone

Microsoft has released few apps for the rival Android mobile platform. We counted nine apps on the Google Play Store.

The latest one is however an impressive attempt. Microsoft has named this new app on{x}.

Microsoft on{x} is designed to let you create rules for your phones which are then processed based on the parameters you set.

You can for example set it to show you your horoscope everyday in the morning. You can set it to text your spouse that you are leaving for home when you leave your office in the evening. You can set it to alert you about tasks to be done when you reach home.

The app is getting a lot of negative reviews by the Android users on the Google Play Store because it requires you to authenticate using Facebook network. We hope Microsoft releases an update removing this requirement in the future.
