Online sources are reporting that Microsoft is all set to ditch their virtual payment system named Microsoft Points.

The company would switch to direct payments with money in the future for all online payments for apps and media content on their network.

The new system is expected to be in place by the end of the current year and would make life easy for both consumers and developers.

Microsoft has for now declined to comment on these reports. The company has been using Microsoft Points system for a couple of years now and it still retains the annoyance factor.
