Microsoft Xbox Music was recently launched though we are yet to see Microsoft offer something similar to competing services from Google and Amazon. Ability to stream your own music from the cloud.

This could change with an upcoming update to SkyDrive. LiveSide noticed some code and image elements that hints at upcoming music streaming support to SkyDrive.

It is not clear if this would be part of the Xbox Music platform.

Both Google and Amazon let users upload their music and stream them on compatible devices. SkyDrive could become Microsoft’s answer to these competing services.
