Microsoft has started accepting pre-orders for their Surface Tablet PC in six markets.

And we now know the prices of the variants that would be available at launch.

The company has priced the lowest end model for USD 500 in the US market. It is for the 32GB edition and does not come with Touch Cover keyboard accessory. The same model can be purchased with the Touch Cover for USD 600. The top end model is priced at USD 700… This one has 64GB storage and it comes with the Touch Cover.

The other markets where Surface is now available for pre-ordering are UK, Germany, France, Canada and Australia.

PS: This is the Windows RT edition of Surface. Microsoft is not launching the Windows 8 version right now. It is listed as Coming Soon on the website.
