Microsoft has started accepting fresh pre-orders for their Surface Tablet PC. The first batch is completely sold out so you would have to wait for a couple of weeks to get a unit if you order now.

The 32GB based model would be available for shipment within the next three weeks. The middle model with touch cover would be shopped in 1-2 weeks. Same with the top end 64GB model with touch cover.

Microsoft has started delivering the pre-order units from the first batch and they should start reaching customers by October 26.

Windows 8 and Windows RT are scheduled to launch on the same day along with Surface which would also be available from Microsoft Retail Stores.
