Motorola Mobility has announced that they are shutting down most of their operations in the South Korean market next year.
The company would retain just around 10% of their R&D staff after these latest cuts.
Google has been shutting down Motorola Mobility offices around the world and South Korea is just the latest on the list.
The company plans to focus on its core expertise areas in markets where they can compete which are not many these days.
Samsung and HTC dominate the Android market around the world with LG and Sony playing the catch-up game. Motorola has lost out in pretty much all the major markets around the world.
