A lot of people complain about Motorola selling their Android devices with locked bootloader. The company recently launched a program where they offered unlocking capability if the user was willing to accept the cancelation of warranty on the device.
They are taking a different direction with the new devices announced today. Motorola is offering special developer editions of two of these models at unsubsidized prices.
Interested developers can order the Droid Razr M Developer Edition right now for USD 550. Pricing is not out yet for the Droid Razr HD Developer Edition .
